Project Desciption

The Senior Supply Planning Analyst will be responsible for managing the finished goods inventory across our supply chain network to ensure consistent execution of the inventory deployment plans and alignment with the business strategy, as related to assortments, priorities and objectives. The analyst will act as a liaison to establish standard operating procedures and parameters, exception monitoring, order allocation/fulfillment and inventory constraint resolution.

General Functions + Responsibilities:

  • Develop methodologies and procedures to ensure optimal inventory levels to maximize service, sales and profitability
  • Define finished goods inventory parameters in alignment with business strategy and target service levels
  • Establish SOPs for intra-company inventory transfers utilizing and coordinate with Logistics and Distribution teams to ensure correct quantities are delivered to warehouse facilities
  • Liaise with Customer Supply Chain, Sales and Integrated Business Planning to communicate potential customer service issues/risks and provide projected availability and/or short-term options to avoid service interruptions
  • Ensure successful value-added services execution by working with Integrated Business Planning, Procurement, Transportation and Distribution to communicate inventory deployment plans and other operational specifics
  • Continuously identify methods to improve cross-functional deployment planning processes and tools
  • Minimize operating expenses and aged/obsolete inventory through application of Lean practices
  • Present aggregated analysis and performance reports on a regular cadence
  • Scenario plan and determine network inventory strategies to support the new product commercialization process
  • Lead cross-functional work to mitigate and resolve impacts of aging inventory
  • Actively participate in the monthly Supply Review as a part of the Integrated Business Planning process
  • Track and manage the performance of key supply related metrics and make recommendations on potential areas for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Statistics required
  • 3-5 years’ Supply Chain experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills required
  • Highly adaptable & resourceful
  • Strong analytical, data management, business process and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time, with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead cross functional processes as well as make decisions with little oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management
  • Strong understanding of consumer products and food manufacturing is desirable
